Description Role works with Bronchoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) procedures. Monitors patient during procedure with recognition of alteration in physiological and psychological status of patient. Recovery of patient post sedation. Utillizes knowledge of post procedure complications and discharge criteria. Ability to provide patient clear and concise follow up instructions at time of discharge. Demonstrates understanding and interpretation of diagnostic measures such as lab tests, radiology exams, and EKG interpretation. Utilizes professional nursing judgment, takes action to implement the nursing care plan and resolve the problems identified for the individual patient. Knowledgeable about equipment and supplies used for procedures, including proper cleaning and handling. Practices infection control techniques. This position is represented by CNA.
