Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to assist in surgical procedures while ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative phase of care. The ideal candidate will coordinate the flow of equipment, supplies, and staff during surgical operations and actively participate in patient care planning and assessment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to established surgical protocols.
• Prepare patients for surgery, ensuring appropriate anatomical positioning.
• Perform patient care planning and assessments before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials following operative procedures.
• Document and verify tissue and allograft temperatures and integrity in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Utilize facility information systems for patient care responsibilities.
• Comply with hospital safety and emergency preparedness protocols.

Job Requirements

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (A.S.) required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

• Experience: Minimum of one year of full-time experience in an operating room setting required.

• Licenses/Certifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in state of practice required.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred.

• Certified Nurse, Operating Room (CNOR) preferred.

Essential Skills

• Circular competency in the Operating Room during surgical procedures.
• Knowledgeable in aseptic technique and practices.
• Ability to operate all relevant equipment utilized in the Operating Room.
• Demonstrates thoroughness in documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
