RN CNA Training Program Instructor

Lafayette Manor is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our CNA Training Program Instructor . In this rewarding role, you will educate, mentor, and prepare future Certified Nursing Assistants for success in long-term care while ensuring compliance with state and federal training standards.

Schedule

Full-Time

Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience

• At least one (1) year of long-term care experience

• State-approved Train-the-Trainer certification (or ability to obtain)

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training for CNA students

• Prepare students for state certification and competency examinations

• Monitor student progress and provide guidance, coaching, and remediation as needed

• Maintain accurate attendance, skills checklists, grades, and training records

• Ensure the Nurse Aide Training Program remains compliant with state and federal regulations

• Coordinate testing registration, program documentation, and regulatory reporting

• Update curriculum, lesson plans, and training materials to support student success

• Collaborate with facility leadership to promote excellence in resident care and staff development

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling

• Ability to demonstrate nursing skills in classroom and clinical settings
