RN First Assistant

Role Overview: The Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) is a specialized registered nurse responsible for assisting surgeons during intraoperative procedures, coordinating surgical activities, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This role involves managing scheduling, educating clinical staff, and overseeing instruments and equipment, all under surgeon supervision.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in surgical procedures, coordinate surgical logistics, support staff education, ensure instrument/equipment readiness, and participate in research efforts.

Qualifications & Skills: An Associate’s Degree in Nursing, graduation from a recognized RNFA program within one year, active Washington RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications, and CNOR certification. Must have at least three years of perioperative nursing experience, including scrubbing and circulating. Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and RNFA experience.
