Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic ICU Stepdown unit. Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ICU Stepdown unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and managing complex medical conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
• Perform advanced procedures including IV infusions, catheterizations, suturing, and ventilator management with strict adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and physiological evaluations, to identify changes in condition promptly.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medication administration, and post-discharge care instructions.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain the highest standards of infection control and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in good standing with current state registration.
• Critical care experience in ICU or Stepdown units is essential; experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly preferred.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with ICD-10 coding and medical documentation standards.
• Strong skills in patient assessment, airway management, medication administration—including IV insertion—and laboratory specimen collection.
• Knowledge of advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), basic life support (BLS), and neonatal resuscitation procedures.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care needs, and those requiring hospice or palliative medicine services.
• Ability to perform complex procedures such as dialysis management, trauma medicine interventions, infectious disease care protocols, and acute pain management strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for triage assessments, discharge planning, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Pay: $2,600.00 - $2,620.00 per week
