Overview

We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and dependable Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our nursing team at Carrier Mills Nursing and Rehabilitation in Carrier Mills, IL. We are currently looking to fill 4–5 full-time day shift nursing positions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with established care plans and facility policies.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and within the scope of nursing practice.
• Monitor, assess, and document residents' conditions, reporting any significant changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality resident care.
• Assist in developing, implementing, and updating individualized resident care plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records and nursing documentation.
• Supervise and provide guidance to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) as appropriate.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident needs and medical concerns.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures and maintain a safe environment.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and compassionate environment for residents and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, active RN or LPN license in the State of Illinois.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or rehabilitation setting is preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Must demonstrate compassion, professionalism, and a commitment to resident-centered care.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Must be dependable and committed to maintaining high standards of nursing care.
• Must be available to work 6:00 AM–6:00 PM shifts.
