Charge Registered Nurse (Charge RN) Job Summary Provides direct patient care while overseeing daily nursing operations, coordinating staff assignments, and ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. Serves as a clinical leader and resource for nursing staff, promotes collaboration among the interdisciplinary team, and maintains compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Charge Nurse or leadership experience preferred.
• Recent acute care, long-term care, or skilled nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and coordinate daily patient care activities.
• Assign, supervise, and support nursing staff throughout the shift.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in clinical status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and perform nursing procedures as ordered.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
