• Location: St. Joseph's Hospital, 3001 W Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Tampa, FL 33677
• Status: Pool, As Needed
• Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM
• On Call: Yes
• Always in person

Summary:

The Operating Room Pool RN responsibilities include:

• RN independently cares for a sub-specialty group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards
• RN delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team
• RN is responsible for professional accountability and development according to best practice standards set forth by a nationally recognized specialty organization
• RN also preforms the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned

This position requires a minimum of 2 years RN experience. For consideration for this position, at least 18 months of Operating Room experience as an RN is required . CVOR experience is strongly preferred. This position is set at St. Joseph's Hospital and requires a minimum commitment of 48 hours per six-week schedule plus Call.

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) if required by department
• Preferred Nurse Specialty

Education:

• Associate's Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• Preferred Bachelor's Nursing

Experience :

• Required includes 1 years acute care experience or 1 years Interventional/Procedural experience or 6 months RN acute care or Interventional/Procedural experience with prior LPN experience and completed competency assessment Preferred Experience includes 1 year Interventional/Perioperative Internship.
