RN Support Team / Float MedSurg FT Days

We are seeking a Float Registered Nurse (RN) for Acute Care/Med Surg to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across various units, including Med Surg, CDU, and observation.

Key responsibilities include performing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice, ensuring individualized and culturally competent care. The RN partners with patients and families to set goals and maintains clear communication through methods like bedside reports and interdisciplinary rounds.

Teamwork and collaboration involve coordinating safe, quality care, promoting respectful communication, supporting performance improvement initiatives, and participating in shared governance.

Professional development includes completing ongoing competency assessments, serving as a preceptor or mentor, and engaging in research activities to support best practices.

Qualifications include licensure as a registered nurse, knowledge of nursing standards and ethics, and the ability to practice within regulatory guidelines. Skills needed are critical thinking, effective communication, teamwork, cultural competence, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.
