Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of cardiac monitoring, patient assessment, and acute care procedures, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes. The RN - Telemetry will provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and complex assessments, supporting both immediate and long-term health needs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment, promptly identifying abnormal patterns and initiating appropriate interventions.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and physiological evaluations related to cardiac and critical care conditions.
• Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following aseptic techniques and hospital protocols while maintaining accurate medical documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients with complex conditions such as acute pain management, infectious disease care, or trauma medicine.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner to document patient information accurately, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and NCQA standards.
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, imaging procedures (e.g., CT scans), and catheterizations including cardiac catheterization when necessary.
• Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as medication administration, lifestyle modifications, or post-discharge care plans.
• Support emergency response procedures within the hospital setting, including airway management, ventilator support, and neonatal resuscitation protocols when applicable.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current state registration; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred.
• Proven experience in telemetry nursing within a hospital environment; ICU or Level I Trauma Center experience highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac physiology, telemetry monitoring systems, ICD coding/ICD-10 coding practices, and medical terminology.
• Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner; familiarity with medical documentation standards is essential.
• Demonstrated competence in administering IV infusions, suturing techniques, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques in clinical settings.
• Background in managing patients with complex conditions including trauma medicine, infectious diseases, geriatrics or behavioral health is advantageous.
• Excellent assessment skills combined with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in acute care settings such as emergency rooms or critical care units.

Pay: $2,200.00 - $2,220.00 per week

• Paragon EMR Experience / ACLS : 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:
