RN Throughput Coordinator - Evening/Night

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) Throughput Coordinator responsible for optimizing patient flow and hospital capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe, timely, and equitable patient placement using clinical judgment and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Promote critical thinking, evidence-based decision-making, patient-centered care, and process improvement.
• Act as a liaison among nursing units, providers, ED, procedural areas, and ancillary departments.
• Oversee hospital-wide patient flow to support high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s preferred.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in Illinois and BLS certification.
• Minimum three years of progressive acute care nursing experience, including at least one year in leadership roles.
• Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, communication, and staff development skills.
• Knowledge of hospital throughput systems and strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
