JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, assist in supervising nursing

services and set the standards of care to ensure a professional, skilled program of care and

treatment so that each resident will receive benefit that accounts for their medical, physical,

emotional and psychological needs. Fulfills policies and objectives establishing quality nursing

care as set forth by the Administrator and standards of the facility. Supports and practices the

philosophy, objectives and standards of Caraday Healthcare and the Nursing Department, and

directs the revision of these as necessary to ensure quality of care to all residents.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
? Complete the daily list to ensure policy and procedures are being followed on a daily

basis for the unit supervised

? Ensure attending physicians are given support by nursing personnel

? Understand and adhere to the guidelines of “Residents Rights” and assure resident

safety

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required

? Current RN license

? CPR certified required; 30 days will be given to complete a course and get certified

? Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in

English

? Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner

? Ability to work flexibly and positively with intermittent interruptions

Preferred

? 2 years nursing experience in long term care/skilled nursing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The ability to safely perform movements such as pushing,

pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable

accommodations

WORK SCHEDULE: As assigned, including some weekends, evenings and holidays

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Clinical
