Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our daytime team, providing exceptional patient care across a variety of clinical settings. Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and detailed medical histories to inform care plans.
• Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusions and medication management.
• Perform specialized procedures such as suturing, catheterization, ostomy care, and sterile processing with precision and aseptic technique.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic and Cerner to document patient information, medical records, and treatment updates efficiently.
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations including laboratory specimen collection, processing, and interpretation of results such as ICD coding and imaging reports.
• Provide acute pain management and participate in trauma medicine or emergency response procedures within a Level I or Level II trauma center environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings such as ICU, PICU, neonatal resuscitation, hospice & palliative medicine, or behavioral health to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
• Support patients across various populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, long-term care residents, individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain meticulous medical documentation for legal and quality assurance purposes.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license with current registration to practice in the state.
• Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, emergency room (ER), ICU/CCU/trauma centers, or outpatient clinics.
• Strong knowledge of EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; experience with ICD-9/10 coding is highly desirable.
• Critical care experience including ventilator management, airway management, or telemetry monitoring preferred.
• Skilled in performing invasive procedures such as venipuncture, phlebotomy, tube feeding setup, and laboratory specimen collection.
• Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining patient safety.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or complex health needs such as memory care or behavioral health is advantageous.
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations confidently during urgent care or trauma responses while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
