Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Field Service Technician

Location : Grapeland, TX

About the Role

Our client is a growing renewable energy company seeking an RNG Field Service Technician to support the operation and maintenance of renewable natural gas (RNG) facilities. This is a hands-on role responsible for troubleshooting equipment, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring safe, reliable plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor RNG processing and compression equipment.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on compressors, pumps, motors, and other mechanical systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
• Maintain and calibrate process instrumentation and control equipment.
• Record operational data, complete maintenance documentation, and support compliance activities.
• Respond to equipment failures and emergency operational issues as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial equipment experience.
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Ability to read P&IDs and electrical schematics preferred.
• Familiarity with PLCs, instrumentation, motors, and VFDs is a plus.
• Experience in RNG, biogas, wastewater, industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, or other process industries is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 20%.
