RN/PN Cardiology

Position Summary:

Qualified candidates for this position will have current LPN/RN licensure and will be proficient in obtaining VS, assisting with procedures, obtaining/processing lab specimens, scheduling procedures, providing patient education, patient triage, updating the medical record, chart prep, insurance authorization.

Education:

1. Graduation from high school or GED.

2. Associate Degree or some college preferred

3. Insurance or coding claims processing preferred

4. Medical Terminology course preferred

5. Other healthcare certifications appreciated

Experience:

• 1-2 years of clinic nursing preferred

Knowledge & Skills:

• Excellent organizational skills

• Strong customer service skills

• Strong technology skills (word processing, data entry, and multi-line phone system) is critical to the success of the person in this position.

• Knowledge of medical terminology.

• Adept at managing varying duties and multiple tasks; flexible and able to successfully work with constantly changing priorities, timeframes and deadlines.

• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and excellent phone etiquette.

• Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words especially medical terminology. as

• Ability to work inedpedently

• Ability to follow written protocols

• Knowledge of medical office procedures

• Applies common sense and logic in the performance of job duties and in responding to customer needs.

• Punctual attendance

Licensure, registration, or certification:

• LPN License, or RN license required
