Road Civil 3D Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Road Civil 3D Coordinator to join our team on a major infrastructure project in Qiddiya, Saudi Arabia.

Working within the project’s design and engineering team, you will be responsible for coordinating Civil 3D road design activities, ensuring consistency and quality across models, drawings and deliverables, and supporting effective collaboration between the different engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.

This position is particularly suited to a technically strong Civil 3D professional who combines hands-on modelling expertise with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary road and infrastructure design activities.

Key Responsibilities

Civil 3D Coordination

• Coordinate the production and integration of Civil 3D models for roads and associated infrastructure.
• Ensure consistency between alignments, profiles, corridors, surfaces, assemblies and related design information.
• Review Civil 3D models and drawings to identify clashes, inconsistencies and coordination issues.
• Ensure compliance with project modelling standards, naming conventions and agreed workflows.
• Support engineers and designers in resolving complex Civil 3D modelling issues.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of Civil 3D deliverables throughout the design process.

Road Design & Multidisciplinary Coordination

• Coordinate road design interfaces with earthworks, utilities, drainage, structures, landscape and other infrastructure disciplines.
• Ensure that road geometry and levels are properly coordinated with surrounding infrastructure.
• Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and technical coordination meetings.
• Identify design interfaces and potential conflicts at an early stage and coordinate their resolution with the relevant teams.
• Support the integration of design changes into the Civil 3D environment.

BIM & Digital Delivery

• Work closely with BIM and design coordination teams to ensure effective integration of Civil 3D models within the wider project digital environment.
• Contribute to model reviews and coordination processes.
• Maintain high standards of model quality, accuracy and data consistency.
• Support the development and implementation of Civil 3D best practices across the project team.

Project Delivery

• Coordinate with designers, engineers, BIM teams, contractors and other project stakeholders.
• Support the preparation and review of technical deliverables at key project milestones.
• Track technical issues related to road modelling and coordinate their resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of design and modelling workflows.

Candidate Profile

Education

• Degree or technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Roads, Infrastructure Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• Significant professional experience in road and infrastructure design.
• Strong hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, ideally on large and complex infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating Civil 3D production across multidisciplinary design teams.
• Previous experience on major international infrastructure, urban development or transport projects would be highly valued.
• Experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East would be an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Road alignments and profiles
  • Corridors and assemblies
  • Digital terrain models and surfaces
  • Grading and earthworks
  • Cross-sections
  • Road interfaces with drainage and utilities
  • Model and drawing production

• Good understanding of BIM coordination and multidisciplinary modelling workflows.

• Knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud / BIM 360, Navisworks and AutoCAD would be an advantage.
