Road Train Operator

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multi-combination road trains, working closely with supervisors, fleet controllers, loader operators and other site personnel to meet production requirements.

Duties will include:

• Operating multi-combination road trains in a mining environment
• Transporting ore and bulk materials
• Operating 18-speed Road Ranger gearboxes
• Completing pre-start inspections and routine vehicle checks
• Identifying and reporting vehicle defects or maintenance requirements
• Working in accordance with site haulage and traffic management plans
• Maintaining compliance with fatigue management requirements
• Communicating with fleet control and operational personnel
• Maintaining high standards of safety and vehicle housekeeping

What We’re Looking For To be considered, you will ideally have:

• Current MC Driver’s Licence
• Previous multi-combination road train experience
• Mining or heavy haulage experience
• Experience operating 18-speed Road Ranger gearboxes
• Good understanding of heavy vehicle fatigue management
• Strong mechanical awareness and ability to identify vehicle defects
• Ability to work safely in remote mining environments
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
• Full Australian working rights
