Coughlan Garden Equipment is looking for a reliable, practical and motivated Robotic Lawnmower Installer to join our team. This role involves installing and setting up robotic lawnmowers at customers’ properties, helping customers get the best from their machines, and providing ongoing technical support.

Previous robotic lawnmower installation experience would be a huge advantage. However, training can be provided for the right candidate who has a good practical aptitude, a willingness to learn and a strong approach to customer service.

Main responsibilities

• Install and commission robotic lawnmowers at domestic and commercial properties.
• Assess lawns and identify suitable charging station locations, mowing areas and installation requirements.
• Install boundary wires where required and configure wire-free navigation systems.
• Map lawns, set mowing schedules and connect machines to customer apps.
• Test installations and ensure the mower operates correctly before completing the job.
• Explain mower operation, maintenance and app controls clearly to customers.
• Attend callouts to troubleshoot installation or operating issues.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs where trained and competent.
• Keep accurate records of installations, service work and parts used.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working area and look after company vehicles, tools and equipment.

Candidate requirements

• A full, clean driving licence is essential.
• Previous experience installing robotic lawnmowers would be a huge advantage.
• The ability to diagnose faults, repair and service robotic lawnmowers would also be an advantage.
• Good practical skills and a logical approach to problem-solving.
• Comfortable using smartphones, apps and connected technology.
• Good communication skills and a professional manner when dealing with customers.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel to customer sites and work outdoors.

Experience with garden machinery, electrical systems, mechanical repairs or other technical installation work would be beneficial, but applicants with transferable skills and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

Training and development

Training can be provided for the right candidate, with the opportunity to develop skills in robotic lawnmower installation, setup, servicing and fault diagnosis across a range of leading brands.
