Robotics Engineer

Comau focuses on providing highly professional solutions based on the principles of efficiency, flexibility, and sustainability. We are looking for a Robotics Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will perform both offline and on-site robot programming activities.

Main Responsibilities:

• Offline Programming (OLP) & Simulation: You will perform offline programming at the production line level and simulate its operation (Virtual Commissioning);
• Online & On-site Programming: You will develop robot programs directly on the production line (on-site) and configure the display screens on the Teach Pendant (messages, errors, and low-to-medium complexity line instructions);
• Compliance with Standards: You will carry out online programming tasks in accordance with the standards and procedures specific to each project;
• Technical Documentation: You will prepare documentation for the production line under your responsibility, covering various stages of the project workflow (Design Reviews, Open Issues, and manufacturing presentations).

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in roles such as Robot Programmer, Automation Engineer, Commissioning Engineer, PLC Programmer, or else related;
• Availability to travel more than 70% of the year;
• A university degree in a technical field: robotics, automation, mechatronics, electrical/electronic engineering, systems engineering/cybernetics, industrial engineering, or else related;
• Programming knowledge/skills in various languages (C#, C++, and/or Python), as well as in automation and AI;
• Basic knowledge of parts manufacturing and processing, as well as industrial applications (Spot Welding, Arc Welding, Gluing, Handling, Laser Cutting, Laser Welding, 3D Vision, etc.);
• Knowledge of Process Simulate, Offline Programming, and Virtual Commissioning;
• Basic knowledge of technical drawing and fundamental mechanical concepts.

The following are considered an advantage:

• Specific certifications for various robot brands (e.g., Comau Academy/Training, KUKA Basic/Advanced Programmer, ABB RAPID, Fanuc Core Software/HandlingTool).
• Courses or certifications in simulation software (Siemens Tecnomatix Process Simulate, Dassault DELMIA, RoboDK).
• Training in industrial networks/communication (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus).
• Certifications in industrial safety (e.g., safety standards such as ISO 10218 or ISO/TS 15066 for collaborative robots).
• AI related courses or certifications.
