Robotics Engineer (Remote, Full-Time) Rex.zone connects mid-senior robotics engineers with remote opportunities spanning autonomy, perception, motion planning, and control. You will build and deploy production-grade robotics capabilities using ROS/ROS2, strong testing practices, and simulation-to-hardware validation.

Key Responsibilities

• Own robotics software modules for perception, planning, and control within ROS/ROS2 systems
• Integrate and synchronize sensors (LiDAR, camera, IMU, wheel odometry); manage calibration and timing
• Implement and tune SLAM/localization; evaluate drift, loop closure, and map consistency
• Develop navigation and motion planning stacks (trajectory generation, collision checking, recovery behaviors)
• Design and tune controllers (PID, MPC/model-based as applicable) and validate tracking/stability
• Build simulation workflows (Gazebo or equivalent) and hardware-in-the-loop tests
• Write production-quality C++ and Python with code reviews, CI, and automated testing
• Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams and document architectures and interfaces

Required Qualifications

• Mid-senior experience delivering robotics/autonomy features
• Proficiency in C++ and Python
• Hands-on ROS/ROS2 experience (nodes, topics, services/actions, TF, rosbag)
• Strong fundamentals in kinematics, dynamics, state estimation, and control systems
• Comfort debugging multi-sensor systems and real-world edge cases

Compensation Base pay range: $30–$50 per hour (USD), depending on skills and scope.
