Robotics Engineer Jobs Lima

About The Role Design, build, and deploy robotics capabilities using ROS/ROS2. Work includes sensor integration (LiDAR, cameras, IMUs), SLAM/localization, controller tuning (PID/MPC), and simulation-to-real validation using Gazebo/Ignition and field testing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Own robotics software modules from requirements through release and maintenance
• Develop ROS/ROS2 nodes, launch files, parameters, and message/service definitions
• Integrate perception and sensor fusion pipelines for reliable state estimation
• Implement motion planning and trajectory generation for dynamic environments
• Develop and tune control loops for mobile bases and/or mobile manipulators
• Build simulation scenarios and regression tests to reduce real-world failures
• Profile and optimize performance on edge platforms (e.g., NVIDIA Jetson)
• Conduct field testing and debugging using logs, rosbag, and telemetry
• Document interfaces, safety constraints, and operational procedures

Required Qualifications

• Mid-to-senior experience shipping robotics systems or autonomy features
• Strong C++ and Python for real-time or near-real-time robotics applications
• Hands-on ROS/ROS2 development, integration, and debugging
• Knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, and control theory
• Experience with SLAM/localization and sensor fusion (e.g., EKF/UKF)
• Familiarity with motion planning (sampling-based or optimization-based)
• Comfort with Linux, Git, CI, and reproducible builds

Preferred Qualifications

• Computer vision for robotics (OpenCV, calibration, depth, tracking)
• Navigation stacks and behavior trees
• Edge deployment/acceleration (CUDA, TensorRT)
• Safety and reliability practices for robots operating around people
• Production support: monitoring, incident response, continuous improvement

Compensation

• $30–$50 per hour (base salary, hourly)
