ABOUT THE ROLE

PopPop Labs is developing Poppy, an intelligent robotics platform, alongside research in autonomous and aerial robotic systems.

We are looking for a hands-on Robotics & Drone Development Intern to contribute to robotics and drone R&D across hardware, software and autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in robotic and drone prototype development.
• Work with motors, ESCs, batteries, sensors and flight controllers.
• Assist with drone assembly, integration and controlled testing.
• Work with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
• Develop or integrate robotics software.
• Explore autonomous navigation, sensor fusion and computer vision.
• Work with ROS/ROS 2, PX4, ArduPilot or MAVLink where applicable.
• Assist with CAD, 3D printing and mechanical prototyping.
• Collect and analyze telemetry and test data.
• Conduct simulation and engineering experiments.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
• Maintain technical documentation, BOMs and test reports.
• Follow applicable drone regulations and laboratory safety procedures.
