About The Role Robotics Opening in Recife is a Remote, Full-Time mid-senior engineering role at Rex.zone focused on building, integrating, and validating robotic systems across software, sensors, and automation workflows. You will work across ROS/ROS2 development, motion planning, perception, controls, simulation, and test automation to improve real-world robot performance and deployment reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ROS/ROS2 software components (topics, services, actions, lifecycle management)
• Integrate sensors and perception stacks (camera, LiDAR, IMU) including calibration, synchronization, and sensor fusion
• Implement and tune localization and mapping approaches (SLAM) for real-world operating conditions
• Develop motion planning and navigation behaviors with safety and constraint handling
• Design and execute simulation scenarios (Gazebo or equivalent) to validate behavior pre-deployment
• Establish automated testing (unit/integration/regression) and hardware-in-the-loop pipelines
• Analyze logs/telemetry to diagnose performance issues and improve reliability
• Collaborate on system architecture, interface contracts, and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Mid-senior experience in robotics software engineering or automation engineering
• Strong Python and C++ skills for production-quality robotics code
• Hands-on experience with ROS2 (preferred) or ROS, including build tools and debugging
• Experience with motion planning, navigation, and real-time constraints
• Ability to validate behavior using simulation and hardware-in-the-loop methods

Tools & Workflow ROS2/ROS, Python, C++, Linux, Git, Gazebo (or similar), Docker, CI/CD.
