Robotics Programmer / Robotics Software Engineer

Yousuf Saeed Lootah Robotics is looking for an experienced, energetic, and highly motivated Robotics Programmer / Robotics Software Engineer to join our technical team.

The successful candidate will work hands-on with advanced robotic platforms, including humanoid robots, quadruped robots, service robots, autonomous robots, and industrial robotic systems.

We are looking for someone who combines strong programming experience with practical robotics knowledge and is comfortable working directly with physical robots, APIs, SDKs, sensors, networking, AI systems, and customer deployments.

The candidate should be actively interested in modern robotics technologies and comfortable learning new robotic platforms quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, test, and maintain software for robotic systems.
• Program robotic behaviors, movements, applications, and workflows.
• Work with robot manufacturers' SDKs and APIs.
• Integrate robots with third-party software and applications.
• Develop custom applications for humanoid, quadruped, service, and industrial robots.
• Configure and integrate sensors, cameras, microphones, navigation systems, and robotic peripherals.
• Develop robot control applications.
• Work with ROS and ROS 2 environments.
• Develop applications using Python, C++, and related technologies.
• Integrate AI and Large Language Model solutions with robotic platforms where applicable.
• Work with computer vision technologies.
• Develop or integrate object detection, face detection, gesture recognition, and other vision-based applications.
• Work on autonomous navigation and SLAM-related projects.
• Develop teleoperation and remote-control solutions.
• Integrate robots with REST APIs, WebSockets, MQTT, and other communication technologies where required.
• Troubleshoot robot software, firmware, connectivity, networking, and integration issues.
• Analyze robot logs and diagnose software problems.
• Configure Linux-based robotic systems.
• Support robot setup, testing, commissioning, and deployment.
• Conduct technical demonstrations for customers.
• Participate in Proof of Concept projects and pilot deployments.
• Support installation and testing at customer locations.
• Customize robot functionality based on customer requirements.
• Communicate with international robot manufacturers and technical support teams.
• Evaluate new robotic technologies, SDKs, platforms, and AI tools.
• Document software configurations, integrations, technical procedures, and deployment instructions.
• Maintain source code using Git and GitHub.
• Support internal training and knowledge sharing.
• Assist with technical demonstrations during exhibitions and corporate events.
• Travel to customer or partner locations when required.
