Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Robotics Software Engineer specializing in Robot Secondary Development to join our cutting-edge team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing software components that enhance robot functionalities, focusing on secondary systems such as perception, navigation, and control modules. Your expertise will drive the advancement of intelligent robotic solutions, ensuring seamless integration with hardware and network systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of robotics technology, contributing to projects that push the boundaries of automation and machine intelligence.

Duties

  • Develop and implement software for robot secondary systems, including perception, navigation, and control modules using languages such as C++, Python, Java, and Objective-C.
  • Integrate hardware components like FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays), ARM processors, and embedded microcontrollers with software solutions.
  • Design and optimize algorithms related to signal processing, machine learning, and big data analysis to improve robot autonomy and decision-making capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop UI interfaces utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Visual Basic for real-time monitoring and control.
  • Conduct rigorous debugging, unit testing, software troubleshooting, and quality assurance to ensure robust performance across various operating systems including Linux and Windows environments.
  • Utilize version control tools such as GitHub, SVN, and Git for efficient code management; employ tools like Jenkins and Jira for continuous integration and project tracking.
  • Implement network communication protocols including TCP/IP, UDP/WAN/Wireless (Zigbee), Ethernet, VoIP, REST APIs, DHCP, and TCP socket programming for reliable data exchange.
  • Perform firmware development for embedded systems using C/C++, Simulink modeling with MATLAB/Simulink environments; soldering skills may be required for hardware assembly or repair.
  • Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS for data storage and processing; utilize database management systems like MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server for data handling.
  • Participate in Agile methodologies like Scrum to ensure iterative development; contribute to documentation using UML diagrams within Confluence or similar tools.
  • Support software testing automation efforts through Jenkins or other CI/CD pipelines; monitor network performance using network monitoring tools; ensure security through encryption techniques.

Experience

  • Proven experience in software development within robotics or embedded systems environments.
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages including C++, Python, JavaScript, C#, Visual Basic, Perl, PHP, Bash scripting, and Objective-C.
  • Hands-on experience with FPGA design workflows; familiarity with ARM-based processors; knowledge of operating system kernels is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in signal processing techniques, machine learning algorithms, big data analytics, and application development for IoT devices.
  • Experience working with hardware components such as Raspberry Pi or other microcontrollers; soldering skills are advantageous.
  • Familiarity with network protocols including TCP/IP, Ethernet networking standards (e.g., VLANs), WAN technologies, VoIP systems; understanding of network security practices is preferred.
  • Knowledge of software testing methodologies including unit testing frameworks; experience with test automation tools is desirable.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical problems quickly; excellent troubleshooting skills across hardware-software interfaces.
  • Experience working within collaborative environments using Agile/Scrum methodologies; proficient in project management tools like Jira or Confluence.
