Robotics Systems Engineer

About the Role

As a Robotics Systems Engineer, you will serve as a key technical lead within our operations control center, ensuring the peak performance of complex automated material handling systems. You will leverage your expertise in PLC programming and robotics to diagnose system bottlenecks, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and provide critical technical support to cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operational health of automated robotic vehicles, vertical lift modules, and integrated conveyor adapters.
• Execute advanced troubleshooting protocols to resolve complex system anomalies and minimize production downtime.
• Translate intricate technical data into actionable insights for site leadership and external stakeholders.
• Document system performance trends and collaborate with engineering teams to implement long-term technical solutions.
• Mentor onsite personnel on the operation and maintenance of warehouse management systems and robotic hardware.
• Champion safety initiatives, ensuring full compliance with OSHA standards, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and fall protection protocols.
• Drive continuous improvement projects to enhance system efficiency, standardization, and overall reliability.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated robotic systems.
• Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen Bradley or Siemens) and industrial robotics (ABB).
• Experience with software scripting and database management using SQL, Python, or Linux.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including heights up to 45 feet and varying temperature conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various customer sites as required.
