Robotics Teacher

Shepherd's Hill British School invites applications from suitable, qualified, experienced, and passionate professionals to fill the position of Robotics Teacher.

Responsibilities:

• Lesson Preparation & Delivery
• Curriculum Implementation
• Practical & Workshop Instruction, including planning and supervising robot-building projects, coding exercises, and hands-on demonstrations
• Teaching of Core Robotics Concepts, including electronics, sensors, motors, mechanical design, and programming (e.g., Arduino, Scratch, Python, or block-based coding)
• Lab Safety, including enforcing safe handling of tools, components, and electrical equipment
• Assessment & Evaluation, including project-based and written assessments
• Record Keeping
• Classroom Management & Discipline
• Student Mentoring & Support
• Use of Teaching Aids, including robotics kits, simulation software, and digital learning tools
• Competitions & Showcases, including preparing students for robotics competitions, science fairs, and school exhibitions
• Management of Lab Resources, including maintaining equipment, kits, and components
• Professionalism & Development
• Collaboration with the Science or ICT department and other staff
• Promotion of School Values

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• TRCN registration will be an advantage.
• Relevant teaching or boarding school experience is desirable.
• Hands-on experience with robotics kits, microcontrollers, and programming.
• Ability to explain robotics and coding concepts clearly and engage students through practical, project-based learning.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
