Roll-Off Driver

You will be responsible for safely operating a heavy-duty commercial truck. Each truck is equipped with a hydraulic hoist to deliver and exchange empty large open-top dumpsters.

Core Responsibilities

• Vehicle & Container Operations: Safely operate Class B vehicles equipped with roll-off hydraulic systems. Secure, strap, and tarp containers prior to transport to prevent debris spillages.
• Site Delivery & Service: Transport containers to customer locations, construction sites, and municipal facilities. Maneuver trucks in tight or congested areas and evaluate ground stability to prevent property damage.
• Disposal & Hauling: Unload waste materials safely at designated transfer stations, recycling centers, or landfills while adhering to site rules and weight restrictions.
• Safety & Compliance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIRs). Maintain strict compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT), OSHA, and local traffic regulations.
• Documentation & Communication: Maintain accurate logbooks, work orders, disposal manifests and weight tickets. Maintain regular communication with dispatcher and provide clear, courteous service to site contacts.

Key Qualifications & Requirements

• License & Certifications: Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class B). Valid DOT Medical Card.
• Driving Record: Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) meeting company insurance requirements. Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Experience: At least 2 years of experience operating a roll-off truck.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to enter/exit the cab multiple times daily, lift up to 50–75 lbs, hook heavy cables/chains, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
