Roll-Off Driver

Job Overview

Responsibilities

• Operate roll-off trucks equipped specialized containers to transport waste and freight across designated routes.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS systems while adhering to over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and schedules.
• Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards during daily operations.
• Manage logistics cargo handling tasks including loading, unloading, securing loads, and verifying shipment accuracy.
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, inspections, and compliance logs for each trip.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members to coordinate route adjustments or address operational issues promptly.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred.
• Proven experience in truck driving, delivery driving, or freight transportation—especially with tractor-trailers or hazardous materials (Hazmat).
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, DOT compliance standards, and safety protocols.
• Strong navigation skills utilizing GPS navigation systems for route planning and execution.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance across over-the-road (OTR) routes.
• Physical stamina to perform manual handling tasks regularly; ability to work in various weather conditions.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
