Roller Operator

We are seeking an experienced and responsible Roller Operator to join our construction company. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating road rollers and compaction equipment to compact soil, asphalt, gravel, and other construction materials according to project specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate road rollers and compaction equipment safely and efficiently.
• Compact soil, gravel, asphalt, and other materials to achieve the required density and finish.
• Prepare and compact road surfaces, foundations, parking areas, and other construction surfaces.
• Follow project specifications, site instructions, and required compaction procedures.
• Monitor surface conditions and ensure proper and uniform compaction.
• Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and check the roller for mechanical or safety issues.
• Report equipment defects, breakdowns, or maintenance requirements to the supervisor.
• Coordinate with graders, excavator operators, paver operators, truck drivers, and other site personnel.
• Maintain safe distances from workers, vehicles, and other heavy equipment.
• Perform basic operator-level maintenance and maintain the equipment in good working condition.
• Keep the roller clean and properly parked when not in use.
• Follow all company, client, and construction-site health and safety procedures.
• Wear required PPE and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Roller Operator in construction or road works.
• Valid heavy equipment/operator license or certification, where required.
• Good knowledge of road roller controls and safe operating practices.
• Experience in asphalt paving, road construction, earthworks, or site development is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of equipment inspection and maintenance.
• Good understanding of construction-site safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual, and physically fit.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
• Willingness to work outdoors in demanding site conditions.

Working Conditions

• Full-time position at construction and roadwork sites.
• Work may involve exposure to dust, noise, heat, vibration, and varying weather conditions.
• Overtime or flexible working hours may be required based on project requirements.
• Strict compliance with site safety rules and PPE requirements is mandatory.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
