ROLLER SKATE COACH

Key Responsibilities


• Conduct roller skating lessons and basic training for beginners and customers of different skill levels.
• Teach proper skating techniques, including balance, posture, stopping, turning, and basic movement.
- Provide clear instructions and demonstrate skating techniques properly.
• Assist beginners and children while they are learning to skate.
• Ensure customers properly wear and use required safety equipment, such as helmets, knee pads, and elbow pads.
• Monitor customers while skating and immediately address unsafe behavior or potential hazards.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging environment for all participants.
• Provide individualized guidance based on the customer’s skill level and ability.
• Assist customers who may have difficulty maintaining balance or performing skating techniques.
• Communicate professionally with customers, parents, and guardians, especially when assisting children.
• Monitor the skating area and report any damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or incidents to the Supervisor.
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the skating area and equipment.
• Support FantasyWorld events, activities, promotions, and skating programs when assigned.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and standard operating procedures.
• Prepare or complete basic incident or activity reports when required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Store Manager.

Qualifications

• With experience in roller skating, coaching, sports, recreation, or related activities is an advantage.

• Must have good knowledge of basic roller skating techniques and safety practices.

• Comfortable standing or skating for extended periods.

• Patient, friendly, energetic, and approachable.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Comfortable working with children, families, and customers.

• Able to speak and understand basic English.

• Responsible, attentive, and safety-conscious.

• Able to remain calm and professional when handling customer concerns or incidents.

• Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, holidays, and peak periods.

• Willing to undergo training and follow FantasyWorld’s coaching and safety standards.
