Rolling Mill/Trimming Operator

ROLLING MILL/TRIMMING OPERATOR Shift: 1st, M-Th, 6am to 3:30pm, Fri 6am to 10am, plus overtime as needed. Build a Career with Checon! Manufacturing experience is a plus, but it's not required for all positions. Overview The Rolling Mill/Trimming Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring rolling mill machinery to shape and form metal materials (such as steel, aluminum, or copper) into specified profiles or thicknesses. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow precise specifications and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities

• Rolling of precious metal and base metal alloys
• Trimming of precious metal and base metal alloys
• Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent product quality
• Inspect finished product
• Brushing
• Loading/unloading furnaces
• Material handling
• Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Manufacturing/Production experience of 2+ years is a plus
• Ability to read process sheets and prints and work with close tolerances
• Knowledge of using verniers, calipers and micrometers
• Working with quality control and data collection

Physical Requirements/Safety :

• Lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to use material handling equipment with a 1,500 lb load
• Support a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.
