Roofer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our roofing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of structures. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a range of tools and techniques, and contribute to high-quality building standards. Applicants should have a strong understanding of roofing procedures, safety protocols, and construction practices. Prior experience with schematics, welding, and fabrication is advantageous, alongside proficiency with hand tools and power tools. The position involves physical labour, including heavy lifting, and requires a commitment to safety and precision. Must have a driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to determine roofing specifications
• Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques
• Repair or replace damaged roofing components efficiently and safely
• Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to complete tasks
• Perform carpentry work related to roof framing or support structures
• Conduct masonry or plumbing work as needed for specialised roofing applications
• Handle heavy lifting safely during material transport and installation processes
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects within designated timelines
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment at all times

Qualifications

• Proven experience in roofing or construction-related roles
• Knowledge of schematics, welding, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and fabrication techniques is desirable
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in roofing operations
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively
• Strong understanding of safety protocols within construction environments
• Good physical fitness with the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Relevant certifications or training in roofing or construction trades are advantageous but not essential

Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
