Duties

• Install, repair, and maintain various types of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation and repairs
• Fabricate custom roofing components and metal flashings through welding and metalworking techniques
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, tiles, metal sheets, and other roofing components safely and efficiently
• Utilize carpentry skills for framing, trimming, and supporting roofing structures
• Conduct inspections of roofs to identify issues related to leaks, damage or wear, then execute appropriate repairs or replacements
• Assist with masonry and plumbing tasks related to roof drainage systems or structural supports when needed

Skills

• Strong understanding of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accurate project execution
• Proficiency in welding techniques for fabricating metal roofing components
• Skilled in the use of hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers, chisels) and power tools (drills, saws) for efficient work
• Construction experience with a focus on roofing projects; familiarity with different roofing materials and methods
• Knowledge of roofing systems including shingles, metal panels, membranes, and tiles
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper posture and technique
• Basic plumbing skills for installing or repairing roof drainage systems; masonry skills beneficial for structural support work

Pay: £160.00-£220.00 per day

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Burton-On-Trent (East Midlands Region)
