Roofer

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and specifications to determine roofing requirements.
• Installing new roofs using various materials such as tiles, shingles, or metal sheets.
• Repairing or replacing damaged roofing components to ensure weatherproofing and structural integrity.
• Operating power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment safely and efficiently.
• Fabricating custom components using welding, carpentry, masonry, or plumbing skills as needed.
• Performing heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate installation or repairs.
• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations, including working at heights and using fall protection equipment.
• Assisting in the maintenance of scaffolding and other temporary structures used during roofing projects.
• Collaborating with team members to complete projects on time and to high standards.

Experience

• Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, or fabrication.
• Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
• Knowledge of different roofing materials and installation methods.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently over extended periods.
• Prior experience working at heights and adhering to safety protocols is essential.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £160.00-£250.00 per day
