Responsibilities

• Read and interpret roofing schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repairs
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to cut, shape, and install roofing materials
• Prepare surfaces by performing masonry or carpentry tasks as needed before roofing installation
• Install various roofing systems including shingles, metal panels, membranes, or tiles with attention to detail and safety standards
• Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to transport supplies to work areas
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on existing roofs to extend their lifespan
• Collaborate with team members on construction sites to ensure projects are completed efficiently and according to specifications

Experience

• Proven construction experience with a focus on roofing projects or related trades such as carpentry or masonry
• Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, or blueprints for roofing or construction projects
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in outdoor environments
• Knowledge of plumbing or masonry is a plus for specialized roofing applications
• Prior experience working with roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, membranes or tiles is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites and roofing work
