About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, hands-on roofer to work with us on a self-employed subcontractor basis. this is a role that will involve measuring and ordering materials ahead of job starting.

We want someone who genuinely enjoys roofing, takes pride in their trade, and believes that quality workmanship should always come first. Attention to detail, reliability, and doing a job properly are extremely important to us.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident carrying out roofing work themselves, rather than simply supervising others. We are looking for a roofer who cares about the finished result, takes responsibility for their work, and never cuts corners to get a job finished quicker.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out pitched and flat roofing work to a high standard.
• Complete roofing installations, re-roofing, repairs, and associated work.
• Work hands-on and take personal responsibility for the quality of your workmanship.
• Pay close attention to detail and ensure every job is finished properly.
• Identify roofing issues and find practical, effective solutions.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
• Communicate professionally with customers and maintain good working relationships.
• Work independently, use your initiative, and manage your work effectively.
• Work alongside other tradespeople when required and assist with coordinating work where appropriate.
• Follow health and safety requirements at all times.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience in both pitched and flat roofing.
• Solar panel fitting experience is preferred but not essential training can be provided
• Strong practical roofing skills and knowledge of roofing materials and techniques.
• Someone who enjoys the job and takes genuine pride in their work.
• High standards and excellent attention to detail.
• A reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
• The ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• A problem-solving mindset and a commitment to getting things right first time.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach with customers.
• Someone who takes responsibility for the quality of their own work.
