Roofer/general construction laborer

Job Listing — Roofer / General Laborer (Indeed, Sept 2026)

Job title: Roofer / General Laborer Pay: $18–$24 per hour Job type: Full-time Location: Sierra Vista, AZ

Desert Rain Construction is a licensed general contractor (ROC #343465) based in Cochise County. We're expanding our roofing division and have more shingle, tile, and flat roof work lined up than we have hands, so we're adding to the crew. We also do bathroom remodels, decks, and small builds, so there's variety in the work.

We're a small crew, so you'll be trained hands-on in our installation methods and quality standards. We care about doing the work properly and leaving the homeowner happy, and we want people who care about that too.

What you'll do

• Tear-off, dry-in, and install on shingle, tile, and flat roofs
• Carry and load materials: bundles, tile, underlayment, rolls
• Set up and take down ladders and safety equipment
• Help with remodel stages like demo, framing, and cleanup
• Keep job sites clean and haul debris
• Work safely at heights and in Arizona heat

What we're looking for

• Roofing or construction experience is a plus but not required. We'll train someone with a good work ethic who shows up every day.
• Reliable and on time
• Able to lift 70+ lbs and work on ladders and roofs
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the shop or job sites
• Takes direction well and asks questions when unsure
• Basic hand tools a plus

What we offer

• $18–$24/hr depending on experience
• Steady, year-round work with a full schedule
• Room to grow into an installer or lead position
• A small team where your work gets noticed

How to apply: Apply through Indeed with a short summary of your work experience. Tell us what kinds of roofs or construction work you've done, if any.
