Roofer/Laborer

Job Scope to Include any or all the following for Commercial and/or Residential

Projects:

• Removing Old Roofing Materials
• Installing New Roofing
• Repairing Roofing and any Damages
• Installing Insulation and Membrane
• Bitumen, TPO, Spray foam, PVC, Single Ply, and/or EPDM Roofing
• Working on Flat and/or Pitched Roofs
• Removing Snow, Water or Debris from Roofs Prior to Applying Roofing Materials

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School/G.E.D preferred but not required
• Years of Experience: Preferably some general construction/roofing experience
• Certifications: None required
• Driver License: Not required but it is a plus
• Must be self-motivated, open minded, and able to accept constructive criticism

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of the basic Safety techniques and procedures
• Attention to detail, ability to prioritize task and meet deadlines according to instructions received
• Ability to climb ladders, stairways and scaffolding
• Interpersonal skills necessary to work on a team
• Ability use tape measure; mark or record distances
• General basic knowledge of construction materials and tools involved in the construction or repair of structures
• Ability to perform general physical activities in construction areas
• Ability to identify problems and communicate them
• Ability to identify and resolves problems in a timely manner according to instructions received

Physical Demands

• Requires standing up for long periods of time
• Requires climbing ladders
• Requires considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body in order to climb, lift, balance, walk, and handling materials
• Requires use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing
• Requires seeing details at close range
• Requires repetitive movement, bending or twisting, kneeling, crouching, stooping or crawling
• Physical ability to stand and walk, lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds regularly

Work Environment

• Requires working in extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions, in very hot (above 90 F degrees) or very cold (below 32 F degrees) temperatures, includes exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.
• Mistakes are not easily correctable and have serious consequences, therefor Safety procedures need to be followed
• Requires exposure to high places or dangerous conditions

PAY: Starting pay based on experience. Raises/Bonus given periodically throughout the year based on work performance and attendance.

Job Types: Temporary, Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
