Roofer/Labourer

Duties

• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using various hand tools and equipment
• Prepare work sites by cleaning, measuring, and setting up scaffolding or ladders safely
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and insulation to support roofing tasks
• Apply caulking or sealants to ensure watertight finishes on roofs and related structures
• Support carpentry tasks including framing or trimming as needed for roofing projects
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly

Requirements

• Prior experience with construction or roofing projects is highly desirable
• Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, saws, and measuring devices
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
• Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in varying weather conditions
• Basic carpentry skills or handyman experience are a plus
• Knowledge of caulking techniques for waterproofing applications
• Strong attention to safety procedures and willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times

Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 44.0 per week
