Roofer/Labourer

Duties

• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and construction equipment
• Prepare work sites by cleaning, measuring, and setting up materials according to project specifications
• Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and saws to cut, shape, and install roofing materials
• Perform heavy lifting of materials like shingles, plywood, and metal sheets safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
• Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing of roofs
• Support carpentry tasks related to roof framing and structural components as needed

Experience

• Prior construction experience or background in carpentry is highly desirable
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic building techniques
• Experience with blueprint reading and understanding technical drawings
• Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safety protocols at all times
• Handyman experience or general maintenance skills are a plus
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job and work effectively within a team environment

Pay: $23.00-$40.00 per hour
