Duties

• Measure and cut roofing materials using hand tools and power tools to fit specific project requirements
• Install shingles, metal panels, tiles, or other roofing materials according to blueprints and safety standards
• Inspect existing roofs for damage or deterioration and perform necessary repairs or replacements
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure precise installation
• Use caulking and sealing techniques to waterproof joints and prevent leaks
• Handle heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood sheets, or metal panels safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and debris throughout the project lifecycle

Skills

• Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and measuring tapes
• Construction experience with a focus on roofing or related trades like carpentry or handyman work
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams accurately
• Knowledge of caulking techniques for waterproofing applications
• Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety protocols
• Previous experience with blueprint reading and construction site coordination is a plus
