Roofing Estimator

Duties

• Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to interpret project scope and material requirements.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools to develop precise cost estimates for roofing projects.
• Analyze material costs, labor expenses, subcontractor quotes, and equipment needs to compile accurate project budgets.
• Prepare detailed proposals that include pricing strategies, scope of work, and timelines for client review.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Manage multiple estimates simultaneously, ensuring timely submission aligned with project deadlines.
• Collaborate with project managers and clients to review contracts, clarify project details, and address any scope changes or adjustments during the bidding process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the roofing or commercial construction industry.
• Strong proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, and construction management platforms.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and construction plans accurately.
• Solid understanding of construction drawing review, cost management, and estimating material requirements from blueprints.
• Familiarity with construction site experience and construction management practices to inform accurate estimations.
• Skilled in negotiation, client communication, and contract review processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including spreadsheets for data analysis and presentation purposes.
• Knowledge of construction industry standards related to material costs, pricing strategies, and cost control measures.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and manage estimation for commercial roofing projects effectively.

Pay: $74,244.30 - $89,412.48 per year
