Duties

• Review architectural plans, specifications, and site conditions to determine scope of work for roofing projects
• Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates by analyzing material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor quotes
• Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information and ensure timely procurement
• Communicate clearly with clients to understand their needs, explain estimate details, and answer questions
• Assist in negotiating contracts and change orders to maintain budget integrity throughout the project lifecycle
• Monitor project costs during execution to ensure adherence to budgets through effective cost control strategies
• Support project managers by providing accurate estimates that facilitate scheduling and resource allocation

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Roofing Estimator or in a similar construction estimating role with a focus on roofing projects
• Strong understanding of roofing materials, installation techniques, and industry standards
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Exceptional communication skills for clear collaboration with clients, suppliers, and team members
• Demonstrated ability in cost control to manage budgets effectively across multiple projects
• Proficiency in estimating software tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to handle multiple estimates simultaneously

Pay: £35,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
