Roofing Foreman (Experience Required)

Detwiler Roofing, LLC is a family-owned and operated commercial roofing company, providing high quality roofing systems for 20 years. The Detwiler Roofing team is expanding and looking for an experienced Foreman. This individual will be great with people, able to work in a team environment, and be eager to take on new challenges.

A roofing foreman is responsible for leading a roofing crew to perform work both safely and productively based on the specifications and to the standards of the company and customer. The foreman will be responsible for effectively managing labor, materials, equipment, and administrative work.

Duties:

• Lead, influence, and assist crews to install roof systems safely, efficiently, and in a disciplined manner.
• Provide regular coaching, training, evaluation, and feedback. Communicate regularly with supervisor regarding work and personnel concerns.
• Examine roof and penetrations to plan jobs, and strategically assign and allocate work to crew members, taking their desires, skills, and temperaments into consideration.
• Communicate and manage job-specific safety plans prior to the start of every job, conducting job-site audits, and making alterations as conditions change.
• Develop and execute project goals to complete quality jobs in a timely manner.
• Manage workflow of crew and subcontractors.
• Ensure quality installation according to specifications and plans while keeping the project on budget.
• Solve field application problems with a minimum amount of supervision, notifying salesperson or supervisor when a specified installation is not possible.
• Maintain a jobsite that complies with all safety guidelines.
• Enforce safety regulations with everyone on a job site, including visitors and customers.
• Inspect safety equipment and PPE before use each day.
• At the end of each day ensure roofs are safe and watertight, materials and equipment are stored safely, and a fire watch is in place if necessary.
• Supervise crew time sheets.
• Complete daily logs.
• Requisition materials and maintain accurate materials and equipment reports.
• Participate in operations and customer meetings as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Foreman in the commercial roofing industry.
• Strong knowledge of various commercial roofing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment relevant to the trade.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate and delegate tasks.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
