Responsibilities

• Assist roofers with the installation and repair of different roofing materials such as metal roofing, single-ply membrane roofing, and asphalt shingles
• Prepare job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety harnesses in compliance with construction safety regulations
• Handle hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install roofing components according to project specifications
• Support the application of roofing insulation, siding installation, caulking, stucco, and masonry work as needed
• Follow detailed construction plans and interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate project execution
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocol standards at all times
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks involving roofing materials and equipment to ensure efficient workflow

Skills

• Construction estimating knowledge is a plus for understanding project scope and material needs
• Proficiency in ladder use and safety harnesses to work at heights safely
• Strong understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocol adherence
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting in outdoor work environments
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings for various roofing projects
• Familiarity with metal stud framing, masonry, remodeling, concrete forming, and siding installation enhances versatility
• Previous construction site experience with roofing repair or metal roofing projects is highly desirable
