Roofing Labourer

We are seeking an energetic and dependable Roofing Labourer to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, metal sheets, and other roofing components
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to support project specifications
• Use caulking guns and other tools to seal joints, flashings, and seams for weatherproofing purposes
• Support carpenters and other tradespeople with framing, cutting, and fitting materials as needed
• Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
• Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety guidelines to prevent accidents on site

Skills

• Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, utility knives, and measuring tapes
• Construction experience, particularly in roofing or related fields like carpentry or handyman work
• Ability to read blueprints accurately and follow detailed instructions
• Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing applications
• Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing ladders
• Familiarity with blueprint reading to support precise installation tasks
• Strong teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to safety standards
