Roofing Labourer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn, with experience in various construction tasks. This role requires physical stamina and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Labourer will be involved in a variety of projects, contributing to the successful completion of tasks while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Duties

• Assist in the construction and maintenance of structures using masonry techniques.
• Perform heavy lifting as required for transporting materials and equipment.
• Operate power tools safely and effectively for various tasks.
• Collaborate with carpenters to assist in building frameworks and structures.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
• Engage in welding activities as needed for fabrication tasks.
• Build, plumb, and fabricate components according to specifications.
• Utilise hand tools for precise work on various projects.
• Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience in masonry or construction is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) regularly throughout the shift.
• Familiarity with power tools and hand tools is highly advantageous.
• Basic understanding of schematics and blueprints is beneficial.
• Welding skills are a plus, but training may be provided for the right candidate.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion.
