EMC Building Services Ltd is an established and growing roofing and rendering contractor, working with some of Scotland's leading housebuilders.

Due to ongoing business requirements, we are looking to recruit an experienced Roofing Manager to join our team and oversee roofing operations across multiple new-build housing developments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing roofing operatives, coordinating daily activities, maintaining high standards of workmanship and ensuring all roofing works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with NHBC standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate roofing operations across multiple new-build housing developments.
• Manage and supervise roofing operatives and subcontractors, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Ensure all roofing works comply with NHBC standards, building regulations, manufacturers' specifications and site requirements.
• Carry out regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, quality and progress.
• Liaise with site managers, contracts managers and roofing operatives to coordinate works and resolve site issues.
• Plan labour requirements and ensure resources are allocated effectively across developments.
• Monitor material requirements and coordinate deliveries to avoid delays.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, including safe working at height and correct use of PPE.
• Identify and address defects, outstanding works and quality concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of site progress, inspections and completed works.
• Ensure roofing works are completed within agreed timescales and to the company's quality standards.

Requirements

Essential:

• Previous experience in a Roofing Supervisor or similar supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of pitched roofing systems, particularly within the new-build housing sector.
• Thorough understanding of NHBC roofing standards and quality requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple sites and coordinate teams of roofing operatives.
• Good understanding of construction site health and safety procedures.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Previous experience working with major UK housebuilders.
• Experience managing roofing operations across multiple developments.

Pay: £40,000.00-£75,920.00 per year
