Roofing Projects Support Officer

About the role

You will take new roofing projects, get everything organised and ensure they are fully prepared and ready for the Project Coordinator to take over. You will work closely with customers, roofers, subcontractors, suppliers, supervisors and our internal team to ensure every project is set up correctly and potential issues are identified early.

Key responsibilities

• Setting up new roofing projects in our systems
• Reviewing project scopes and identifying everything required to complete the work
• Reviewing site information, quotes and job requirements
• Obtaining and coordinating quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Comparing quotes and ensuring the appropriate contractors are engaged
• Ordering roofing materials, products and supplies
• Coordinating material deliveries to align with project timelines
• Building preliminary project timelines and schedules
• Coordinating roofers, subcontractors and other trades during the project setup phase
• Organising permits, approvals and council requirements where required

About you

• Experience in domestic roofing or similar
• A strong understanding of roofing processes, materials and the trades involved
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, roofers and suppliers
• Experience obtaining and coordinating supplier and subcontractor quotes
• Strong understanding of project scheduling and construction timelines
• Experience with permits, approvals and council requirements is highly regarded
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Strong computer and systems skills
• The ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and changing priorities
